 MacbookPro 13" temperature while running KisMac
I have startet a weak scheduling attack on my own WEP WLan router and my temperature was between 95°C and 102°C !
this seems to me very very hot... it checked 29600,000 keys already and now the temp is at 88°C but still very high.
what are your experiences with macbooks getting that hot?

 Re: MacbookPro 13" temperature while running KisMac
It's "normal", you must be close to 90% CPU use for some time.
What is at 102C? CPU?, Heatsink? You can check all of that with a free app called iStat Pro Are you only "Kismacing" or are you doing multiple things at once , i/e KisMAC + Riping a DVD ?
- Give your Mac some air, don't let it sit on thick carpet, bed, etc - Allow air circulation and check that nothing is obstructing the air flow - Check that your fans are working, @100C they must be at 6000 Rpm . You probably hear them at 3500rpm
here is what happened with mine: Start CPU 12% 55C
@1 minute CPU 95% 74C Enc base 30C Fans 2000 rpm @ 5 min CPU 92% 82C 31C 3850 rpm @ 10 min CPU 89% 75C 32C 4900 rpm @ 15min CPU 89% 74C 33C 5000 rpm

You can also use smcFanControl to not only see the temperature and RPMs at which your fan is spinning but you can also use it to adjust the speed of your fans.
